Hi Sidney! Peñafrancia Festival in every third Saturday of September (Sept 15 this year). But it starts with the great procession 9 days before, (Sept 7) - the Traslacion. Magnificent procession comparable to the Nazareno of Quiapo.
Thanks for the info. I arrive in Legaspi on the 15th. Will go to Naga immediately to see the evening procession (?). I stay in Naga the 16th to cover the event and then fly back to Manila the next morning from Legaspi. Didn't knew about the September 7 procession... Don't think I will be able to see that.
When I started teaching, I heard seasoned teachers calling fully-loaded days "crucifixion" and free days as "kamurawayan" -"glory" (Recall mysteries of the Rosary). So, if it's "kamurawayan" day, I could revert to my hobbies - painting and photography. That's why this blog is "kamurawayan"

in the Waray dialect, which is my mother tongue, KAMURAYAWAN means peace.
Nice picture.
Can you help me?
When (date) is the Penafrancia this year ? I might go there for a photo shoot.
